Community Health Center Announces Lamoni Site

The Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa (CHCSI) will be locating in Lamoni in mid-May or early June. CHCSI has leased 911 East Main for this full service medical practice. Formerly the location of the Shelter School, renovation will soon be completed to adapt it into a medical practice building.

The renovation includes area for three spacious exam rooms. In addition, laboratory and radiology rooms will be within the patient care center. For patients and families, a consultation room has been added so that the physicians can confer with them in complete privacy and comfort. Finally, an attractive reception area with a business office for financial counseling and assistance is immediately adjacent to the entrance of the practice.

Dr. Patricia Magle will return to Lamoni and will be joined by Dr. Abel Cruz. They are looking forward to the opening and being closer to their Lamoni patients. Dr. Magle, Medical Director of CHCSI, has practiced in Decatur County for the past 21 years in general medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, college health, and sports medicine. Dr. Cruz came to Decatur County in September, 2004. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Rheumatology. With convenient office hours for their current patients, they also will be available for new patients and are looking forward to providing patient care services to their neighbors in Lamoni.
